I like this place a lot. The service is very good and the people there always seem very happy every time I visit. The french toast is the best in town in my opinion, and sometimes if I am starving, I order a skillet plus a two-piece french toast. The price is very reasonable also. Highly recommend.

First few visits the service was great but recently the service has been almost nonexistent. I get one cup of coffee and constantly need to wave the waitress over for more. We have to take silverware from another table because the waitress is nowhere to be seen. They bring out the check before checking if you want dessert. The food in general is average but their service is below average. That’s the reason for my below average rating.

I didn't even realize this place was here, until my folks were in town and found it just across the street from their hotel. What an excellent find! Great home-style cooking, and great prices to match. It has that "local diner" feel, which is perfect for a nice, quiet meal.

The food is great, the staff are very attentive, polight, and professional. Wait time is unbelievably short. We have (the wife and I) been customers for sometime(years) and have yet to receive either bad or slow service or unsatisfactory food. I recommend this dinner for for a couple or a family anytime

This place is a great option from all the other big name commercial restaurants on that strip (I65 & SH26). The food was great, with low carb/keto options, however our waitress was inattentive.

My wife and I very much enjoy the the Country Cafe. They have a small KETO section on their menu. Very few restaurants have this.

First time eating here since it’s been under new ownership. Wonderful experience! Service was top notch—warm, friendly, and efficient. I had b&g with scrambled eggs and cannot wait to eat here again. My husband had the breakfast quesadilla and said it was his favorite quesadilla ever! Good coffee, too. Highly recommend!

Great food, reasonable prices, clean and very friendly staff. I always stop here when driving through town. You know that it must be real good when it sits right behind McD and competes very effectively with all the restaurant choices.

First time in this place on the way to Chicago. The server was very nice and courteous. It seems they know how to treat their customers. But the food we ordered was typically using cheap ingredients. But we had good time in there.

I hadn't been here in 17 years when it was a regular stop for my late grandfather, Tom, and myself. The food is just as good as I remembered. The same great vibe that I love about home cooking and a greasy spoon diner feel. The best part was, with the theme of nostalgia, my grandfather's friend who was a long time waitress (who no longer works there but still frequents) her son works there now. It was a quaint coincidence and worth coming here with your loved ones

Had breakfast here while visiting...the food was great except for the pancakes ....they weren't all that...the service was outstanding though...its a mix of Mexican and American food

It was confusing at first, we ended up seating ourselves. After that the service was great, very attentive. My measure of a breakfast is the coffee, it was hot but maybe too mild of a roast. We got frequent refills. I had the casserole special and it was good. The portion was a bit small. This might be better that the chain portions but not much.

Ok food. Meal served in under 6 minutes, makes you wonder how fresh is the food. The sausage and biscuits is very good. The waffle was dry.

The name Country Cafe truly encapsulates this homey restaurant. The service was exceptional- our waitress was friendly and competent. We ordered breakfast, and all the food came out hot and delicious. This local restaurant is a great alternative to chain restaurants with similar menus. There was a mix up in the kitchen with our pancakes, but our waitress fixed the error promptly and apologized. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a local establishment with country flare.

Great food, good prices

Ordered steak and eggs . Steak had no flavor . Coffee was not good . Waitress forgot my silver ware then food runner forgot my steak knife. Not going back .
